First aid
Bee and Wasp Stings
Sudden yelping, a swollen paw or face, pawing at the mouth.

Usually handled at home. Call your vet if it gets worse or you are unsure.
What to do
- Look for a bee sting and scrape it out sideways with a card: don't squeeze it
- Hold a cold compress on the area for 10 minutes
- Watch them closely for the next hour
Go to the vet if
- They were stung in the mouth or throat
- They were stung many times
- Their face swells, or breathing changes: see Allergic Reaction
